Soap and warm water can do the trick. Even on my Hitachi and more expensive items, if I don't want to submerge it in water I just get a washcloth with soap and scrub. $6 'aint a lot to spare if you're that nervous, but it's not a necessity.

well, i got this cleaner since i never bought any sex toys before and i want to make sure i can clean it using the right stuff without damaging it. Overall, i am happy with the result of this cleaner. However, i did clean a few times with warm water and soap as well and that worked too. recently i heard soap requires very very careful cleansing using warm water otherwise it will stick on the toy and cause irritation for sensitive areas. so i am back using this cleaner 100%.
