It's a new little vibrator out there for us discerning connoisseurs, but I think this one has something special that will help it earn its place on your bedside table. It's from a company in Sweden called LELO (Luxury Erotic Lifestyle Objects), and the new model is known as Lily.
Reading the company standard, one can see that the three entrepreneurs who started LELO really know what they're doing: "Through a special blend of fashion, femininity, engineering and design, LELO's mission is to consistently provide the international markets with high-quality alternatives to traditional sex products, without taboos or prejudice, empowering women with sexual confidence and infusing in couples a deeper sensual awareness. By doing so, LELO will actively participate in setting a higher world standard for sex products by creating a new niche, inspire a more female-friendly erotic market space and make tangible pleasure objects that the 'Sex and the City' generation feel that they cannot live without."
I was always a closet "Sex and the City" fan, but that's got nothing to do with my new-found relationship with the LELO. The reasoning behind the design name "Lily" is simple, I reason: it is shaped delicately like a slightly bent petal from a flower. Tapered at one end, rounded at another, the toy is small enough to sit comfortably in the palm of your hand. It's "an everyday sensual massager with a pleasurable touch of pearl. The smooth and silky surface is gently curved to accommodate all those special places. It is rechargeable, extremely silent, small and handy, and comes included with gift box, charger, introduction manual, a satin carry pouch and a 1-year LELO warranty."
As claimed, it is smooth -- and gentle against those sensitive places on the body. Here's the best part, though: as we've discussed before, not everyone likes the same "power" in their vibe. Some can't take a lot, some demand a nice throttle. This has the best of both worlds in a pretty silent package. There are two small, non-intrusive buttons on the front; one is the on/off, one is the vibe controller. If you hold down the vibe button you can get to just the right kick that your body needs for its own ride.
The Lily is pretty quiet, so if you're into those hidden displays of excitement in public, this pretty petal is worth it. It comes in three colors: Antique Pink, Black and Plum for $129 USD. But there's more! For those who are looking for a more waterproof version for some bath-time play, there is the Ida, which is pretty much the same thing but waterproof. It comes in Black, White, and Lacquer Red ($169). And for the demanding vibe collector, there is also a metal version called Yva, which offers you handmade items in either medical grade surgical steel or 18k gold plate ($1,300). But all versions still have that lovely ergonomic design that lets you know these folks are aware of the curves on a woman's body and made a product designed for those curves.
In fact, the design is one of the reasons I enjoyed this little flower. For the purposes of the review, let me remind you that this gal loves a strong wave or vibration. In fact, the stronger the better -- and directly applied to the clit. This baby does that job perfectly. With the vibrations at the max, the perfect shape of the Lily helped for direct clit stimulation that left this lady screaming - literally - for more. And with up to 7 hours of user time on one charge, that's exactly what I had - lots of time for more.
The Lily is shaped so you can handle it, but not have to grip it in order to get off. A simple nudge for placement and hold and ride the blissful waves of your body. The curved design is wonderful for that area of a woman's body, and actually helped the item stay right where I wanted it for maximum enjoyment. Of course, I realize that not everyone enjoys direct clitoral stimulation, so I moved it all around the area to make sure I gave it the full test ride.
Whether slipping between labia or riding the pudenda, the Lily is a sleek drive. The varying speed or power of the vibe can range from the lightest, gentlest of vibrations to a very strong (I emphasize very) feeling; this small tool can find just the right sensation for you. And the sensations are not graduated, either, so you're never stuck in-between someone else's "steps" on a button. No, this has a slowly increasing, gradual buildup to just your right need. No more being stuck between not enough and too much.
On my personal Alexia meter, this gets 9.5 out of 10 Big O's. A new personal favorite. |
