| Acetate |
Components Acetate is a synthetic fiber which is based on cotton or tree pulp cellulose. The acetate fibers have passed their peak as cheap petro-based fibers and have displaced regenerated pulp fibers. |
Properties Acetate is a soft, smooth and resilient material. It has no allergenic potential (is hypoallergenic) and a poor thermal retention. |
Hygiene And Maintenance Acetate usually requires dry cleaning. |

| Cyberskin |
Components Thermal plastic elastomer (mixture of PVC and silicone) |
Properties Compounded to mimic real skin. The high molecular density of these materials allows them to be flexible and resilient. |
Hygiene And Maintenance These materials are extremely porous, making it difficult to clean and easy for germs and dirt to hide. So protect them with a condom. Skin-like materials are extremely sensitive; they should be cleaned before and after every use with warm water and toy cleaner or antibacterial soap. These toys come dusted in a powdery material to maintain their unique texture, clean the toy thoroughly before first use. After each use, clean again and dust with a little cornstarch (not TALC which has been linked to cervical cancer) before storing to prevent the toy from becoming sticky. They should be stored individually in a dark, cool place. Store each toy separately in a plastic zip bag or thin sock because the porous surface can absorb dyes from other materials. These materials are also very incompatible with many substances. Contact with silicone-based lubricants, oil or petroleum based products will cause damages to the surface of the toy. Use only water based lubricants. |
Compatible Lubricants Water based only |

| Foam |
Components Foam is a chain of organic units joined by urethane links |
Properties A very soft, elastic and flexible material with low density that makes it excellent as thermal insulators and flotation device. The foam is considered hypoallergenic, and does not promote the growth of mold or bacteria. |
Hygiene And Maintenance The toys made of foam should be cleaned before and after each use with the warm water and antibacterial toy cleaner or mild soap. |

| Jel-Lee |
Components Poly vinyl chloride |
Properties Jelly toys come in great variety of brilliant colors. They are pleasantly smooth and have rubbery feel and scent. |
Hygiene And Maintenance Jelly material can't be sterilized like silicone-so no boiling water. Since jelly toys can't be sanitized they can't be shared-unless you put a condom over them. Clean jelly toys with the warm water and toy cleaner. Don't use strong soaps on them and keep in a cool dark place. |

| Latex |
Components Synthetic rubber derived from certain plants. Injection molded. |
Properties The high porous formulation of this material makes it very flexible and suitable for applications in different fields. |
Hygiene And Maintenance Being very porous, latex does not clean well. You can make a latex toy last longer and keep it cleaner by using a condom over it each use. Cleaning should be done with mild soap and water and never use alcohol or household cleaners. |

| Leather |
Components Natural fibers (Patent leather is leather that has been given a high gloss finish.) |
Properties Leather is a water resistant material with a high tensile strength and high resistance to tear. Usually used for harnesses and restraints it has high resistance to flexing and to puncture. Good heat insulator. |
Hygiene And Maintenance Dirt adhering to the leather can be removed with a damp cloth, using a mild soap if needed. |

| Metal |
Components An element that readily forms ions (cations) and has metallic bonds. |
Properties Metal is phthalate-free and has firm, smooth texture. It is usually shiny, with a high density, ductile and malleable, usually has a high melting point, and retains heat well. |
Hygiene And Maintenance Metal toys can be boiled or be bleached (10% solution), are dishwasher safe (top shelf), or can be washed with soap and water. |

| Pyrex glass |
Components A glass is an inorganic non metallic material that does not have a crystalline structure. Such materials are said to be amorphous and are virtually solid liquids cooled at such a rate that crystals have not been able to form. Pyrex, a brand name for borosilicate glass, is made by adding boron into the mixture of sand, soda and ground lime. |
Properties Pyrex is a hard material with a high chemical resistance and mechanical strength. The boron in Pyrex reduces any stress caused to the material due to temperature changes. It is less dense than ordinary glass, making it much more resistant to shattering and breaking as well, if it were to break it would not shatter or splinter into tiny pieces but instead it would snap or break in large pieces. It retains temperature extremely well and requires only a little lube for a super-slippery effect. |
Hygiene And Maintenance Glass is extremely smooth and nonporous. Easy to clean, with soap/water or sex toy cleaner. Use condoms if sharing. |

| Rubber |
Components An elastic hydrocarbon polymer which occurs as a milky emulsion in the sap of a number of plants but can also be produced synthetically. |
Properties Porous material with exceptional wear-resistance and extremely long lifetime. It is dirt-repellent with a color range more than 260 standard colors. High footfall sound absorption without additional outlay and a cost-efficient cleaning without coating. |
Hygiene And Maintenance Being porous, rubber does not clean well. You can make a rubber toy last longer and keep it cleaner by using a condom over it each use. |

| Silicone |
Components Semi-organic polymer, man-made material known for wide-ranging stability and water repellence. |
Properties Silicone has a tight molecular structure and retains heat. Try to soak silicone toy (make sure it's waterproof) in the warm water before using it to get nice warm feeling. Silicone also repels dirt and bacteria and doesn't fall apart with extended friction. |
Hygiene And Maintenance Silicone is smooth and not porous. Silicone can be fully disinfected by boiling it for 3 minutes or by throwing it into the top rack of your dishwasher. |
